The Tired, The Poor, and The Sick and Tired
Ever said, or heard someone say, "I'm sick and tired of the illegals coming here to exploit our system without paying their way?
Hopefully after reading our lead article and the guest editorial you realize by now that there is much to gain for each and all of us to have open borders. What's in it for you and me? More consumers means more dollars in our economy, more business opportunities and jobs for all of us to serve them, and until Libertarians succeed at eliminating taxes, more taxes and social security paid into the system, which illegals will never be able to collect, and therefore paying an illegal immigrant tax into the system that will prolong the social security fund's liquidity.
Open borders also make it easier for tourists and students to enter the country who also spend dollars in our economy. The need for bilingual servcies of all kinds creates additional jobs or business opportunities to provide translation and interpretation, as well as to teach English.
Looks like there's quite a lot in this policy for everyone.
One caveat, however, adn that is that open immigration should not be confused with open borders. There is overlap but there are also distinctions. Open immigration has to do with economics. Open borders have to do with national security. We will address that issue separate.
